How Municipal Court Warrants Work
A municipal judge signs warrants for cases inside that court's jurisdiction. City ordinance matters and some Class C cases move separately from county Justice Court citations. So a city warrant may never surface on a county or sheriff page. Ask which court actually filed the citation before trusting a general search result. Mills County's Tyler portal can help you find the underlying case. Its public landing page, though, offers no warrant-status control. The court that issued the process still gives the only current answer on an active warrant.
Mills County Municipal Warrant Report
Goldthwaite holds an official row in the Texas Office of Court Administration's additional-activity report, and the Texas OCA additional-activity report is where that historical city row lives. It lists a 2019 population of 1,878 for the city. The row also breaks out activity types, including arrest warrants and capiases pro fine. What it does not give is a current warrant total. This is an older aggregate, not a live case search. Separately, the 2020 Census counted Goldthwaite at 1,738, so keep those two vintages apart. Neither figure says whether any particular case has open process. For the official city contact baseline, the Goldthwaite municipal profile is the place to read.
The directory is a city profile, not a court docket or warrant list.
Municipal Courts Across Mills County
Two incorporated places appear in Mills County's Census place data: Goldthwaite and Mullin. Goldthwaite has a verified OCA municipal-court report row. Mullin lists no current court contact or portal in the official directories. That gap does not prove the town lacks a court.
| City | Verified Court Detail | Public Warrant Search | First Routing Step |
|---|---|---|---|
| Goldthwaite | OCA municipal-court report row; current local contact not published in city pages reviewed. | None located. | City office / City Secretary; ask which court holds the matter. |
| Mullin | No official city court page or portal located. | None located. | Confirm the issuing court through county contacts. |
Goldthwaite City Warrant Record Route
Goldthwaite's City Secretary handles public-information and municipal-document duties, and the Goldthwaite City Secretary page lays out that role for Mills County readers. The general office line is 325-648-3186. The city website posts no warrant form, no municipal-court clerk name, no payment method, and no bond schedule. So ask the office to identify the right court contact first. Then request case status from that court directly. Treat the City Secretary as a records route, not a warrant-status authority. A well-defined request should name the record and the date range you want. The city does not promise that an active warrant file can be released.
Mills County Municipal Warrant Checks
Call the issuing municipal court or city office first. If the ticket belongs to county Justice Court, use its public contact instead. The Mills County portal can locate a case or citation. It does not confirm an active warrant. The Sheriff's Most Wanted page is a selected list, not a complete one, and nothing shows city warrants flowing into it.
- Read the city and court named on the ticket.
- Ask the city office who handles the court case and warrant question.
- Use the county case portal only to locate an underlying citation.
- For a defined copy, ask the correct office how to file a public-record request.
- Confirm the exact status and next court step with the issuing court.
The county case and citation search can identify a Mills County file. It does not confirm a warrant.
Mullin Municipal Warrant Access
Mullin appears in the Texas Municipal League directory. The town publishes no website, municipal-court page, police page, warrant search, or public court form. Do not read that gap as proof that no Mullin municipal court exists. Ask first whether the matter is a city citation or a Mills County Justice Court case. If it is unclear, call the Justice Court at 325-648-2278 with the citation-routing question. For general agency routing, the Sheriff's main number is 325-648-2245. Neither line is a dedicated Mullin warrant line.
Municipal Warrants: What They Show
A released court record may tie the process to a cause or citation number, offense, judgment, issuing judge, date, service return, and a later recall. Mills County publishes no sample city warrant record to use as a guide. Ask whether a displayed balance is a fine, a judgment, or a bond term.
| Number | No public sample found Ask the city court for its case identifier. |
|---|---|
| Type | May say arrest warrant, FTA, capias, or capias pro fine. |
| Issuing court | Identifies the city or county court that controls the case. |
| Status | Ask whether it was served, recalled, or reissued and when. |
| Balance / bond | Confirm the amount and purpose with the court; no local schedule was found. |
Mills County City Warrant and Sheriff Roles
In Mills County, the Sheriff's Office handles law enforcement and custody routing. The city court issues and controls its own municipal process. A city's emergency number matching the sheriff's number does not mean the Sheriff keeps every city file. Goldthwaite's contact page lists 325-648-2245 as its emergency route. Its general office line is 325-648-3186. Federal cases run through a separate system entirely: the Northern District of Texas, San Angelo Division. For county detail and wider court routes, see the Mills County warrant records home page.
Clearing a Municipal Court Warrant
Before paying or appearing, ask the issuing city court which step applies. Options include a new setting, a motion to recall, an attorney appearance, a hardship hearing, a payment arrangement, or another order. The Mills County city websites post no accepted warrant-payment methods or walk-in procedure. On access law, the Texas Public Information Act governs public city records, subject to exceptions. Juvenile and some investigative material can stay protected. A record request is not a request to dismiss or recall a warrant.
Mills County Capias Pro Fine Warrant Recall
A capias pro fine works differently from a normal arrest warrant. In Mills County, it grows out of a justice or municipal court judgment that still sits unpaid. Chapter 45A sets out rules on hardship, voluntary appearance, and recall in defined circumstances. So call the city court. Ask what judgment remains, whether an undue-hardship hearing must be held, and whether a motion or new setting is needed. Goldthwaite and Mullin publish no recall form, payment method, or bond schedule. And a general online payment link is not proof of recall.
Confirm each step. Request written court confirmation after a payment, new setting, or recall. Do not expect the county sheriff to clear a municipal court order.
